Beaten to it but yes, Stage One uses a unique bush and pin.

If you can still find genuine then buy extras. I really doubt they are going to be around for much longer.

There is a mystery brand reproduction, which appears OK but I haven't seen any long term reports.

There isn't a cross reference as I haven't found anyone else that makes them but as genuine is still available....

Have you down loaded the parts list from this site?

Genuine part, though still quite cheap. Not sure if LHD is significantly longer than RHD.

I would suggest you are not reading your reference source correctly. As per the previous posted link, the LT95 (the only gearbox found in the Stage One) uses engine oil in the gearbox and transfer case. As per the old phrase: north-south oils and east-west oils. Everything that is north south is eng...

I haven't read the magazine article but through all the hype, it sounds like a pseudo Military spec order with a few options, to be used as an estate vehicle by the staff.

Otherwise I'm sure the corgis loved sliding around on the lino covered rear floor.

Firstly, in either case (either tank design) the only issue was the presence of the fuel return system. Screw in or twist lock sender is just a period design issue (plus a few general tank design differences). Second, the twist lock sender is also the fuel pick-up. Unless you manage to buy unmoleste...

The pushrod should remain behind. This is attached to the clutch arm by a plastic clip.

There should also be an unlisted tapered steel seat in the end of the arm. These usually remain in place but not always.

Is N12YC the same plug for the original short reach heads?

I doubt jets will need changing, however needles may do. Have you readjusted your needles since the heads went on?

Download the wiring diagram from this site.

As the car uses the standardised Lucas system, every earth wire is black.

When I put an extra relay in the centre I added an extra earth. I would do this for a test at least.

At a guess there is a corroded earth point common to both relays. This intermitantly plays up, causing the relay to switch. It probably has no earth at the moment, preventing the start relay from switching when you turn the ignition key.

Which model Range-Rover? If it is an un-played with LT95 box from a concurrent Range-Rover, then it virtually is the same box as a Stage One, except for the change mechanisms. Depending on the brand of overdrive, you are still only looking at about a 1:0.9 ratio. Regardless, the overdrive is a total...

It couldn't hurt.

If I can come up with a used spare, I'd be more likely to sacrifice one to the local dash top recovering mob. Then if they make a mess of it I will be slightly less annoyed.

Oil pressure alarm isn't standard, unless this is a NZDF feature.

Relays are situated behind the centre panels for start and brake fail. I suspect you may have a power supply problem.
