Re: Restoration

I have early Disco1 exhaust manifolds on mine. Very tight squeeze and the pipe work at the bottom is different (larger diameter). But it fits.

Re: Stage One HCPU production numbers

The one ton also had 900x16 wheels IIRC with longer spring shackles. There was one on here some years ago. Pageant blue I think.

Re: Stage One HCPU production numbers

I think you will find there were more than that, but there were few one ton models. Maybe that is what you were referring to?

Re: Stage 1 Project

Good to see it go to someone who cares and they are a good motor to learn with.

I would say to pull the bugger apart and then make the decision. You may be able to replace parts (outriggers, rear cross member, and such) instead of the whole thing? A chassis is not cheap.

Re: Restoration

Super impressed with your work. Good luck with the tests. This virus has sure been an annoying interruption, but it is what it is. We have to adjust to stay safe, especially when we are unwell (me too by the way)

Looking great. Those metal worms sure had a good munch on the doors.

Re: Restoration

It is an absolute pleasure seeing the application of old school techniques on an engine.

You can come and clean my engine anytime, I wish it looked like yours!

Re: Exhaust mounting

I think that maybe Cliff might be your best bet. Have a look through his rebuild photos in the first instance.

Re: Exhaust mounting

Do you mean the fixing points on the chassis or the assemblies that attach the exhaust?
