Re: Wanted: Seat Box and Floor plates(s)

Hi - no pm came through no. Still looking for a steering relay, I have the original but as mentioned, it's suffered a bit of damage - repairable but would prefer a replacement.

Yep - if all else fails I'll pick up a 110V8 seat base but would prefer a proper 109V8 one.

Wanted: Seat Box and Floor plates(s)

Hi everyone, well… 5 months into 109V8 ownership and I've nearly got everything I need to recommission my old Land Rover which had been stripped of most of the unique 109V8 bits when I got it. Its been difficult gathering the parts (was little things like gearbox mounts and throttle pieces that took...

Re: v8 Buick 4.9 300 1964

The 300 was the successor to the early BOP215s (all alloy the unit that Rover bought the rights to) and came with a thin-wall iron-block right? But retaining the alloy heads up to '64 before going all iron, the one that BOP switched to after the cost and difficulty of casting the alloy block? **BOP ...

Re: Hello from Slough (Berkshire)

I bought a truck cab roof off a chap in Yorkshire a few months back who said that he was the one that supplied the vehicle to the show.

Re: chassis wanted

I've seen a NOS one for sale near burnley. The seller may well be on this forum come to think of it - I found him on eBay. It isn't listed anymore but may be worth getting in touch to see if he sold it, was a very nice guy - I contacted him on the off-chance he had some other bits for sale. http://w...

Re: 'Scrap' and spare axle parts wanted.

I'm delighted to say I'm now sorted for all these parts now - two part-complete Stage 1 axles, a few new parts and a few bits off this forum have left me with enough parts to build a 1980-spec front axle. Not quite the right year, but close enough for my rebuild. Still looking for a couple of bits, ...

Re: Who's got ANY 109V8 bits they'd sell in the UK?

Been a great month for parts - have now managed to find almost everything I need, the only bits I still need are: A passenger (Left hand) side floor plate (MRC3575) or even a pair of floor panels. Even if they're rough I can use them as templates. A Seat Box (MRC7173) A set of gearbox mounts - I hav...

Who's got ANY 109V8 bits they'd sell in the UK?

Hi folks - I am slowly but surely gathering the parts I need to rebuild the part-stripped Stage 1 I bought earlier this year. Finally managed to track down an oil seal retainer for the front axle which was a worry - thank goodness for dunsfold. Couldn't get the civvy one so had to get a pair of FRC5...

Steering arm wanted - that bolts onto swivel

Hi - does anyone have a bottom steering arm from the left hand side of a RHD axle?

It is part number FRC1939 and is the one that has two holes in it for ball joints.

This is a 4-cyl one but it will be pretty similar:

Re: Steering relay help

Hi - if you look at the SIII parts panual page 1K05 - http://www.landroverv8.com/manuals/seriesIIIandstage1partslist.pdf it shows the relay. If you read the small print it shows which parts are specific to the 109V8 even though the casing (which you have) isn't shown (the part numbers are all there ...

Re: Alice to the road!!

Congratulations on the start-up spencer! Saw Alice in the flesh on Saturday and absolutely fell in love with it. The old Massi red paint looks amazing - full of patina and history. All the mods have obviously been incredibly-well thought out and really don't detract from the character of the vehicle...
