Martin, i allways put tubes in when i change tyres on my 1 tons, i have had them for 8 or 9 years now and only come unstuck once when i fitted a ribbed Kelly 750/16. Unfortunatly i was half way to Billing. THats another adventure!.

I dont like diken about with them either, i'll talk to my mate who helped me with it.We undone the plastic oil damper filler bits, then removed the screws and slid the alloy barrels of the mess was on the inside of this.

I had this on mine. The plungers are a clip fit in the barrels and had an oiley sticky film between the 2.Mine actually stuck open in the end till i realised what was going on.

The wood in the truck is all ash. I burn any wood i get my hands and never cut trees down, its all wind blown stuff.I am fortunate to live on the fringe of a large woods and am friendly with the owner. Yea, i put the doors on. The old truck cab gets jolly hot in the summer. Wind up windows way better than the slidys.Still got the original doors though.Yea Landdani, thats me.
