Later Defender's (with Railko bush) use it from new. One Shot is Rover approved for retro fit and does penetrate surprisingly well. However, in 90% of cases, including Australian Military use, it is used for the wrong reasons. That is, dodgy patch-up jobs to hide leaks. Instead of fixing the job pro...

Exmoor trim

Has anyone bought Exmoor trim from any of the Land-Rover outlets? If so, any recommendations? In particular I'm after someone who doesn't gouge for postage and is willing to look for more the just the first (and usually dearest) provider. Craddock service can be hit and miss and when I first enquire...

Rivets for door step mat

Has anyone found a source or Rover part number for the bifurcated rivet found on the late Series III door steps (what holds the rubber mat in place)?

All I can find genuine is the earlier aluminium rivet and all the rivet suppliers I contacted don't supply or manufacture the same size.

Start again with basics, in a little more logical order. Are you getting spark at the end of each ignition lead? If it is the cylinders stated, spray some aerosol solvent directly into the throat of the right carburettor. Brake clean, Carb clean, Aerostart... All the cylinders you listed are fed by ...

Your handbook will provide the answers you are after (serial number and servicing) including clear pictures.

Wear points are numerous and expensive.

Either; switch, connections, motor or seized wheel boxes. Take the motor's dash cover off and you should be able to test most things from the one position.

I'm getting ready to go away so I don't have time to chase parts. As far as I can understand, the only parts you are after is the lower mountings for the inertia units. They become the fourth mounting point. This is fairly clear in the Ser III optional parts list. All of which I have purchased genui...

Read your handbook and parts list. The market your vehicle was intended for will determine if belts were fitted and what type. All the required parts are readily available new. In Australia, all front outer seats are inertia reel, regardless of body type. A lot of retailers and some Land-Rover "...

Strikes me as being the longest way round. Even if the 109 chassis was rotten, I still wouldn't even attempt to make it into an 88. I had always planned to buy a complete 88 then rebuild it into a Stage One V8. The worst I have to do then, is issue a modification plate for a V8 installation. If anyo...

All three UJs on the front shaft are popular generic sizes. So to, the spring thing between the two joints. You should have no problems at your local bearing shop. You may need to specify that you want grease nipples. Most of the service items appear on some other Land-Rovers including some Discover...

I get the idea of what they are trying to do and that my previous saved searches (links/addresses) now take me somewhere else.

However, I haven't been able to reset the parameters in the new criteria to come anywhere close to what I had before.

e-bay australia

Is anyone else having trouble with the latest e-bay Australia format? My saved search for Land-Rover seems OK. But when I use most of my other saved searches (ie. Metro, BMC, Lockheed....), I can barely get one page of listings. I've tried resetting the new search criteria (menu boxes) but still com...

Your local GM dealer will sell you a small pot of what they use for the same purpose.

It is messy and does set eventually but does work. If the local Land-Rover "specialist" had used this on mine, it wouldn't have cost me three days extra work to replace the water pump the last time.

Britpart don't make anything. They are simply an intermediary and slap their name on anything. Possibly they should be a bit more careful on what they apply their name to. You may well have got a tank from the other supplier but I certainly didn't. Britpart The Grove, Craven Arms, Shropshire, SY7 8D...
