Front diff's run at about £100.

Try seraching paddocks website for SECFRC5688

Drive train slack is going to be caused by the whole system. I know that there was a lot of play in the rear and cdentre diff's on mine.

Hi, There should be a thermostat fitted to your engine. It should be at the front of the inlet manifold where the radiator top hose fits. It could be that yours is faulty or has been removed. Common trick is to remove the thermostat to hide an overheating problem. There are 3 temperatures of thermos...

Keep it and buy a disco you no it make's sense
Already thought about that! There seems to be a serious lack of housing around edinburgh that is in my price range and has enough parking for 2 vehicles.

The housing situation is looking so bad I am even contemplating Fife :P

Hi Dave, Welcome to the forum. Looks like a nice truck you have there, what condition is it in? 1st tip for you: Unless your planning on driving in a lot of sand, change those tyres! They look like Michelin XS, mine had them fitted when I first bought it. Great in sand, never get punctures but letha...

That is the stage 1 leaver set up you are using. Its the range rover one that comes up through where the centre seat goes. One question. Is it possible to turn the pivot around? Looking at your pictures, if you un bolt the pivot and flip it around the leaver would be further away from the gearbox an...

I have never heard of a filter king but a google search throws up a reference to a fuel filter/pressure regulator.

Is this what you are fitting?

Just out of interest, what are the benefits they are selling it on?

Cheers

Hi, Thats a clean looking engine. If it was reconditioned by the MOD then it would be painted. If some oil in the cylinder didnt improve the compression test then it could mean that: 1. The bores are very worn and a new set of rings will not cure it. It will need a rebore and bigger pistons. 2. The ...
