Heres a possibilty to start with.

I have copies of the series 3 workshop and parts manuals on my website.

Feel free to download them.

http://www.manuals.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/manuals.htm

I am hoping to have a copy of the V8 supplement on there at some point.

Onno

I would be very interested in hearing about your chnage of ratio's.

I have a parts catalogue and have been wondering exactly which gears need swapping.

I have a chance of a higher compresion 3.5 v8 out of a discovery so shouldnt have to many problems with pulling the gearing.

Technical FAQ forum

How about a Technical FAQ forum on here?

There are loads of common questions that could be answered on it and people could do write ups on how they did things.

e.g. fitting an overdrive.

What do you think?

A few questions for the experts

Hi All I bought my stage 1 as a pile of bits so when it comes to rebuilding there are a few things that I am not sure about. 1. There is a pair of pipes on the drivers side wing that I assume are breathers but have no idea what the connect to. 2. This may be related to to No. 1, on the carb air filt...

Hi Darren

Thats what I thought. I assume the upper ones will be flat and the lower ones will have a bend in them to match the angle of the bumper.

Hi Darren Thanks for the reply. The holes are there just hidden, plus the bumper would never fit the front dumb irons as the lower bracket on the bumper is angled up at 45 degrees. I have been told there should be some mounting brackets , as i bought it as a pile of bits I have no way of knowing wha...

Increasing the gearing

Hi all I am in the process of rebuilding a 1981 Stage 1 that I bought as a roling chassis and a pile of bits. I hope to have it on the road soon but whilst I still have easy access to the gear/transfer box I thought I would look into increasing the gearing. I plan to use the vehicle on a few long tr...
