Re: Gumtree again
Got it. I missed that it is missing the fan and heater box. That is a disappointment.

Re: Gumtree again
... also, what is "mandatory for road use demister". From what I can see in the photos, the dash has the corrugated tubes leading from the lower heater plenum to the windshield vents. Is there something else required in Australia? (This might be two common languages calling the same thing ...

Re: Gumtree again
sort of off topic - but you mentioned the wheels are the wrong color. What color is the truck? It appears to be white roof, white wheels, and sand body. But I know computer monitors are all a little bit different, photos can be taken in odd light, and I am slightly color blind. I am starting a resto...

Re: Gumtree again
I know the Isuzu engine was original spec for the Perentie - but did civilian Stage One's come with that motor in Australia or is that part of the "prototype package" the seller is claiming? For the cash the seller is asking - I would want floor mats and door cards - but I am soft and crav...

Re: Speedometer
Ok - the parts book does not differentiate with Stage One or Regular Series 3 - just tire size and wheel base. Odd.

Re: Speedometer
I thought that the regular Series 3 with the 4.7 differential had a different speedometer than the Stage One with the 3.54 differential.

Re: some exotic Stage 1 in Germany
Frank - These license plate lights appear non-standard to what I have seen in the UK..... and they appear to be the right parts that would fills the holes I could not explain (until now) that I have in the rear of my tub. My project is of Swiss origin - so I assume it might share some peculiarities ...

The work looks great.
What are you doing with the old 5 door body parts? I am in need of some bits.

Re: Another red stage one in the Netherlands
Holy Crap! That is the same story as my Stage One project that I have here in the USA. It was a Swiss Stage One that retired out of government service (avalanche or ski patrol?) and was used by a veterinarian that bred hybrid Zebras and Horses. He named the Rover "Zebroid" and painted it w...

Is there anyone out there with a 5 door Stage One? I am looking to start restoring one next year and am trying to determine what parts I am missing from the great big pile of junk that will one day turn into a cool Land Rover. I already have my 2 door Stage One to use as a guide but I am not familai...

I love the over the top Australian "Roo" bars. They are all a little different but all right out of the props department from the Mad Max movie series

I am not sure I fully understand what your issue is but.... maybe your carb float is out of adjustment and you are running out of fuel in your fuel bowl of the carb. I am not sure what carb you are running so I could be talking bollox.

Re: Original airbox and fittings.....
I imported my truck from the UK to the USA. I had a local shop in the UK help me on that end and I handled stuff myself on my end. I used the Land Rover Centre at Huddersfield because they had a good reputation and the shop was close to my wife's parents house in the UK and made it easy to visit the...
