Yes there were

Seb and I went up in convoy, but ours were the only Stage 1s we saw. It was a very nice day and very interesting to see another Stage 1.

I fitted my set on the weekend and they look great. As normal with stickers, if you put some washing up liquid and water in a household spray bottle you can squirt a lot of water onto the bodywork first. This allows you to move the sticker around a bit to get it straight before the water evapourates.

Has anyone got a picture to show where they should go on a 109 Station Wagon?

Some fantastic road tests on this flickr page, including the Stage 1: http://www.flickr.com/photos/7869726@N02/sets You've got to register to view the scans at a decent size so I've linked to them here: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v375/garethj/LR/109-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v37...

Re: dwell & timing

Take out No 1 spark turn engine over buy hand, with small screew driver in spark hole when piston at top you have TDS Did that, as Sod's law will tell you, the alternator belt wasn't quite tight enough to turn the engine so I had to sit on the front wing with a spanner on the alternator, my foot pr...

Re: dwell & timing

Cleaned the points, reset the gap corrected dwell to 26 degrees and then checked the timing which was at TDC. Reset to 6 degrees BTDC and wow is that better! I did the dwell on mine today, it's really easy with the adjustment outside the distributor! Went to do the timing and there's no timing mark...

Mine's jammed open but it's not such a problem. You only get warm air when the fan is on, if you want cool air you open the vents under the windscreen, or slide the windows, or rely on any of the huge panel gaps 8)

Re: Prices

sebking wrote:Looks like they will be about £10 a side.
That's pretty good!

Let us know the final cost, with postage, and put it up here. You prefer Paypal or cheque?

And does anyone have a picture to show where the stickers should go?
