Re: Restoration
All looks pretty good to me. My guess is that the diff will be fine, but it's good to have the feeling of settlement about it.

Re: Restoration
Like the LT95, they were a good decision on the trucks.
For a long time, I desired having an electric rear diff locker installed into mine. Now I'm glad I didn't mess with it.

Re: Restoration
 Sorry, I thought you had wheels on it. okaaay then. Can you afford to hire a little digger or fork lift for a morning? Maybe some local Landie nut who has one who could help out? A one ton digger with no bucket would easily lift it out, walk it backwards and plonk the tub on the ground  ...

Re: Restoration
Put the tub on drums, etc. and suspended by the boards. If the tub is pointing to the back of the shed (engine to the front), can you roll the chassis assembly forward? This will leave the tub in the air and then stick a dolly under it for moving around. Or a trailer if one is handy. If the tub is t...

Re: Restoration
Yes, the rear end was obviously designed for assembly and not maintenance. The position of the rear fuel tank also makes removal of stuck chassis spring bushings something to pause about. So far as removal is concerned, I think I would get some drums or items similarly stable and use a jack to lift ...

Re: Restoration
My first thought was too much current. What if the steel box section you connected the wires to protruded above the water line (so that the wires are not immersed at all), would that still work?
Clearly, copper has free'r electrons than steel.

Re: Restoration
Interesting point about the glue on the bonnet skin. I have had to take the spare off the front because the glue failed and now I have to pull the bonnet apart and figure out how to straighten the panel, frame, and a suitable aircraft glue.

Re: Heater control valve... again
This is unique to the Stage 1. Your best bet is to get one from Bryan at Design Development. I bought one and it's the bees knees. They are repairable too.
