Parts catalogue quotes a modification to the 1/2 gearbox selector fork at gearbox number 88108316. Assuming 5% of gearboxes were supplied as spares in CKD kits or were warranty units in the first years of production, that would indicate a field population of about 7900 vehicles. Could be completely ...

Sort of, long story. Currently living in Dorking, but moving back to Redhill (off Redstone Hill) in May 2010.

I commute to Salfords in the V8 most Mondays to keep things turning over:

Shouldn't really use it, unless in an emergency or to temporarily pass inspection.

Railko bush systems need EP90 to get lubrication upto the pin.

Top taper roller bearing systems can use liquid grease.

Have you tried the ignition key?

I'm sure when I had my first 109 V8, 20 years ago, the bonnet lock and ignition were the same key, but time and age may have made my memory a little hazy!

Heater and Blower for LHD Series 3

I am after a Series 3 Heater and Blower, preferably second-hand, for a Left Hand Drive vehicle (water pipes exit the opposite side to the RHD version)
Need both heater matrix/box unit and blower unit.

Don't do it!!! I always regret selling my first 109 V8, way back in 1986. (LPL 465 W, where are you now?). Then I bought WORT, and what did I do? Sold it! OK the mortgage company was on my case, but in hindsight I didn't really need to sell it. So I had to buy it back. Long hot summer on it's way, t...

WORT is back! But missing a vital feature.

Finally got WORT back again - a long story which I will bore you all with later. The so called '109 V8 enthusiast' I sold it to, removed the 3/4 hood and frame, which was original to the vehicle, but more importantly (too me at least) removed the front towing/lifting rings! Has anybody got a spare p...

Is anyone after a new bonnet lock?

Hello All, I have an opportunity to have replacement bonnet locks manufactured for 109 V8. Not exactly the same, slightly smaller, but they look OK. If anyone is interested I can post a piccy of the sample I fitted to my own 109. Key will not match ignition key, but door lock barrels and keys could ...
