Re: Any US 109 owners on here?

I've just set up a US owners group on facebook - let's see how many members we can get. It would be great to get all US owners onboard.

Cheers!

Re: Another from Australia

Hi Drifter, nice looking truck there!

Favour to ask - any chance of sticking up a picture of the front wing badges (or pm me) ? I'd like to try to track a set down for my Stage 1.

Cheers!

Re: Any US 109 owners on here?

Port Elliot - very nice, freezing my backide off here, -28c the other day  7.50 x 16 are getting tough to find here also. Got two brand new and two used last year to replace the steeltreks, looking for a couple of new ones to get a set going. Loved that County, most unreliable beast ever but ...

Rover Wing Badges?

Hi All,

I seem to recall seeing a Stage 1 in OZ once that had small 'Powered by Rover' badges, with a Leyland Logo, on each of the front wings. Anyone got a picture of these - or preferably a set they would be willing to sell on?

Cheers from the USA

Chaz

Re: Any US 109 owners on here?

Cheers Mick - I'm ditching the steeltreks as we speak - they were 1980 vintage with lots of cracking in the sidewall so it's time for new rubber. Saw a few Isuzu powered ones in SA when I lived there; superb beasts, but living the States now the V8 does me fine as parts are easy to find and petrol i...

Re: Any US 109 owners on here?

Cheers - how about we set up a US owners site on Facebook? We can add pics etc. more easily then. I tried to set one up but it will not let me do so unless I can invite someone else as well. If you are up for it pm me your name and I'll friend request you and we can get a group going. Thanks Charles

Re: Any US 109 owners on here?

Hi, I'm in Utah with my 1980 Stage 1 Pickup - I'm not aware of any others in the USA. Brought her from Oz when I moved here 4 years ago (had to leave my 1985 110 behind though  ) http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d16/CEdington/IMGP1914.jpg The old 110: http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d16/CEdi...

CKD for Australia. Land Rover 3.5, what you mean by precisely what model it is? I thought the options were V8 or Isuzu? Please enlighten me!

Thanks all! Yes, she is a CKD, so could well be non-standard. The keyfob has 'desert sand' written on, but it's hand written, so I have my doubts.

Would love a couple of those wing badges with rover 3.5 on - any ideas on a source, or are they all long gone by now...
