Re: LH exhaust manifold
PDuckey Good to know you have yours sorted :) I was out playing on the Shropshire lanes yesterday with my truck, snow on top of the Long Mynd adds to the fun :D I'll dig out the pics of what we did to the manifolds I am now running on - I also have the numbers cast into these when they were manufact...

Re: LH exhaust manifold
Hia PDuckey I appreciate that this post is a aging a bit now but I do still have the set of manifolds from my stage 1. I've modified a set that I think came from a Rover p5 to fit mine (they are rather less restrictive than the originals & help it breathe better). I can dig them out if you are s...

computer speakers ? - easy :)
Creative Labs 2:1 speakers. these are amplified speakers and can run from any line out (in my case either a personal cd player or an Ipod - cd players dont work too well offroading :) ) I have mounted the two small speakers by angled brackets from in the front corners of the roof and the base box be...

Halfshafts
Are the halfshafts (10 spline I believe?) used elsewhere or are these something else thats unique to the stage one. I understood that the drive train (subject to gear ratios in the diffs/transfer box) was straight off the early range rovers & the same as the forward control. Are the halfshaft's ...

series seatbelt mounts
the series 3 does have belt mounts, the series 2 doesnt (I'm in the middle of replacing the sides for mine from a series 2 and it doesnt have the fitting. I'll probably fabricate something if I cant remove the existing one.

pump pulley problem
I had exactly the same problem, fitted a set of kenlowe fans (the twin set ones) They arent cheap but do a cracking job. I didnt like their idea of securing it to the matrix itself and chopped the bits of steel they sent it with to make a frame to fit them behind the rad (I dont like them in front)....

main shaft movement
Any thoughts on how to go about stopping the main shaft moving forwards? It would be enough to secure it from going backwards but the other end of this is in the bellhousing & buried within the clutch. From my memory of taking the overdrive off the donor vehicle ( a stripped-to-chassis range rov...

locating LPG tanks
I'd be very interested to know how you get on with this. I have an LPG kit gathering dust at the moment (unused). I have 2 side tanks plus the tank that goes between the chassis rails. I dont know if its possible to use all 3 (better range :) ) and fit an additional separate petrol tank under the pa...
