Re: ** STOLEN ** Stage One SW

Apparently owned by the father of the FB poster for 25 years; so yes, probably quite distressed. I do hope it's found and returned.

Thanks.

Re: ** STOLEN ** Stage One SW

Strange... just checked the link in the above post and it seems to work fine for me. It's a FB group so it may be a permissions issue, but I believe it's a public group. Regardless, here's a link to the FB page of the original person that posted in the FB group - a member of the family that has lost...

Re: Stage 1 Chassis & Parts

Hi,

I have tried sending you a PM but it appears to have been unsuccessful as it's just sitting in my Outbox.

I am interested in what you have and would be keen to discuss further.

Thanks.

Thanks for that. And apologies to the OP for going off topic here! Actually, that was the area of the DVLA website that I'd already found but it operates by first knowing the registration number in question. I presumed from your earlier post above that you'd 'found' those registration numbers, but I...

C763WWK and C764WWK are on the DVLA site. C763WWK is listed as yellow. Both first registered 13 March 1986. Hi, Whereabouts on the DVLA site is it possible to view/search for such information? I'm very interested to know what information is stored/accessible about the vehicles I own, including a St...

Thanks Alan.

I missed your post (and the auctions) due to commitments here, although I did stumble across this recently:

Best place to find a decent Stage 1 in New Zealand?

Hi Folks, I'm a UK Stage 1 SW owner and find myself in NZ for several months. I arrived here a couple of weeks ago and am considering my transport options! As I'm already missing my Stage 1, I'm considering trying to find one here (I'm in Wanaka - so it'd be great for getting up the mountain!) and w...

Re: prices

Very comprehensive sales info Seb! last ebay sales: This one had an offer for a SW at £3K http://stage1v8.org.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=733 It's mine :D To be fair, the proposer offered '3000'. It's difficult to be sure whether that was GBP or Euros, as he was Italian. I never did get back to the pe...

If I go LPG I'd really like to put a small (40 litre?) tank under each front seat, then I don't lose any load space and it all looks neater. A few real beginner questions because I've bought it and pick it up in 3 weeks - how do you drive it? Clutch in to engage and disengage overdrive? Do y...

Hey Stirling,

Thanks a lot for that info! I'll endeavour to get underneath and have a good look around (re: possible bent linkages etc) and reset the steering to be 'central'.

Cheers,

John

I haven't looked at the book But I run 35psi in the front and 33psi in the rear. I know of people who pump the tyres right up to 40psi but I think that is a bit too tight. That's interesting. In the absence of any info, my best guess has been 30psi at the front and 35psi at the rear, which is how I...
