Hi, I had the same Probleme with my Serie3 2,25ltr Petrol. I took the brake drums of and then put a bar clamp on the break shoes, to pull them together. So there was no space for air in the wheel cylinders. Then I bled the system, and the air had gone. The bar clamp was always on the wheel cylinder ...

Valve stem shafts

Hi, I have a question: The manual says, that at the stems of the inlet valves there should be valve stem seals installed. I bought 8 pieces, and I got 8 "gumdiscs". Does anybody know how they should be fitted? Do I only have to push them over the valve stems and it is allright? regards Horst

Hi,

as far as I know, you can use the OD in 3rd and fourth gear. It`s very usefull if you run up a hill, you have a gear between third and fourth. If you change gears from third to third with OD and then to fourth you have realy good acceleration.

Yes, this happened to me. So I had to drill them out. Bad Job. I would try to loosen them with small hammer beats.

Good luck

Hi, I`ve fitted LPG too, and the consumtion is about 18 to 20 ltrs(100 km (sorry, `don`t know how many mpg this is at the moment). In Germany it is much cheaper than running on unleaded fuel. Fuel costs about 1,30/ltr, LPG is 0,56/ltr. When I switch over from fuel to LPG the ignition point is earlie...

Hi, fitting an overdrive is a rather easy job, but there is one thing you should care about: The main shaft mustn`t be moved when fitting the overdrive gear, because if this happens, the thrust bearing will fall down, and then you have to remove the gearbox from the car to put the bearing in the rig...

I think Ben is right. The speedo drive cog from RR and Stage One are different. I instaled a RR-gearbox, and since that time my speedo is undereading. `think the difference between the speedo cogs is two teeth or so, but I don`t know ut exactly. My oil pressure gauche starts climbing up after the en...

Hi,

before I forget it: The seal from the choke (O-ring) of the left carb was to old and to hard. So, the carb was overfilled with fuel. New seal fitted, problem solved.

Thanks for the help.

Hi,

the thing you are missing is for driving the oilpump. I think you can try to get it with a magnetic through the hole where the distributor was fitted in.
I hope this helps you, and wish you good luck.

Hi, thank`s for the answers. I think I´ll modify the middle silencer at first. ´seems to be the easyest and cheapest version. Probably I`ll weld a new silencer which will look the same as the middle one, but with nothing in it. So, maybe the car gets a bit louder, but breathing will becomne easyier ...

More Power

Hi, can someone tell how I can get more power from my engine, without fitting EFI? I have ristrictors out and two SU`s fitted. The rest of the engine is original. Does it make sense to install an other camshaft? If so, what kind of camshaft would be the best? I want to have more torque, for example ...

Hi, thank you for all the answers. `think the problem is solved. If I run the car on LPG, it works as good as always. So I think the carb of the left bank was overfilled with fuel, and so the sparks couldn`t fire. Something had "hanged up" when I was running on LPG for a longer time (3000 ...
