If you want to know what gears are in your box this site may be helpful
http://www.vislandrovers.nl/modules.php ... visiedelen
It's in Dutch but if you scroll down to the LT95 it shows you exactly how the different gear-ratios look and how many teeth the gears have

On the other hand , you can just drive tour RHD car there. I live in the Netherlands and have been driving a Uk-bought RHD SIIA for years now. Only overtaking lorries can be a bit of a challenge. Last year i bought a RHD stage one that I just started to rebuild. I'll probably will rebuild it as a LH...

Re: Pictures
The pics of my engine are on: http://timwilmshurst2.blogspot.com/ as you can see the 2 holes on the manifold down to the left and the hole coming out from the joining piece on the 2 carbs. I am not sure what these parts are and where to get them from The joining piece is the actual air-filter. ther...

Ok. I stand corrected. Basil is of course right in that is your truck and you can decide whatever you want with it. Just some points however: the 109v8 track is a little smaller than that of a 110 and you'll have difficulty filling the spats. Also look at :http://www.stage1v8.org.uk/igallery/11.html...

Yes I agree. The stage 1 is a rare and historically significant vehicle. You can see prices going up already. 110V8 are plentifull. Better to swap if that is what you want. Worst choice will be if you make the 109 look like a 110. I'm afraid you will look foolish. Best choice as far as I am concerne...

Hello Basil, Can you remember were you got your gears from? Were they new or did you take them from an old range rover or 110V8? Were you happy with the pulling power with the long gears? I run my 2.25 petrol SIIA with an ashcroft conversion and find 4th gear just a little bit to long especially wit...

Increase compression and change transfer gears
I am planning the restauration of my Stage1 Stationwagon. The V8 that is in it is performing reasonably. I plan however to open it and give it a good clean and inspection and to replace any worn parts. Do you think it is worthwile to replce the pistons with a higer compression type? I will be runnin...
