Yeah bro. When ordering from US catalogs, you're going to have to treat it as an early 3.5 Range Rover. What really helps is when you have the Series III parts manual that is available here for download. Get the parts number from there and give them the part number. None of them will deal in "S...

This isn't all that difficult. I seem to remember a tight fit, but that is all. It's a regular starter. I got an old one from http://www.britishstarters.com . . . . it's a NissanDenso and is a lot lighter than the original. http://www.roversnorth.com/store/p-4857-starter-motor-v-8-bosch.aspx http://...

The controls in the picture have nothing to do with the army :) They're just standard ways of selecting 4wd and hi/low on SII, SIIa and SIII with 4 cyl engines and std gearboxes. LOL!!!! I took it for granted that every Stage 1 owner was a previous 4cyl series owner. I remember the first day i drov...

Hey man don't freak out too much. I am from CA and have dealt with this kind of thing in the past. I now like in Anchorage, AK and can tell you that once you have made it through Customs and gotten the EPA/DOT stamp during import, you are forever good to go as far as the feds are concerned. You won'...

Chris-

Engine number is on the left hand side of the block tucked sort of under the exhaust manifold. You should be able to see it without moving anything. You may need to spray it down with degreaser to actually read it.
