Stage 1 on todays countryfile.

Hi all, and happy new year to you all.
I was watching countryfile today when I saw what I thought was a red stage 1 station wagon in one of the items regarding horses. I think it was on a Y reg. Anyone else notice it, or am I just seeing things?
Regards Huzey. :D

Hi Ollie Congratulations on a fine choice for a first car. :D As for improvements, the world is your lobster. There are so many things you could do depending on how much money you have to spend. The best thing I did to my stage 1 was fitting disc brakes on the front. I also fitted a power steering s...

I know what you mean Tel. I was hoping to get my IIa on the road to use in my veg growing project, but this came up at the right price and right time so I had to have it. Plus it is a V8.

Nice one, I also moved up to a 110 a while ago, they do ride better, and yours will be 5 speed too
Absolutely. Power steering and disc brakes on the front; exactly what I did to my last stage 1. :D
It is a lovely drive, well, as lovely as a land rover gets!!

I thought the wheels and roofs were limestone, but I could be wrong. I sprayed the spare roof for mine limestone, and it seemed a pretty good match to the original paint that was on it. The existing roof on mine is in the body colour, which I was told by the previous owner, was royal green. It appar...
