Exhaust - Gear Box Crossmember
Can anyone tell me whether the exhaust should run above or below the gearbox crossmember? Vehicle is Series 3 Stage 1 V8 109 station wagon. Many thanks Keith

PROBLEMS STARTING AFTER REBUILD
I am nearing completion of a long rebuild and cannot get the V8 to start! It cranks fine - new starter motor Carbs have been refurbished New plugs, distributor cap and leads New amplifier module. I removed the plugs to check sparking - ok, but only number 1 plug is wet! No fuel getting to other 7 cy...

I have been given a set of defender boost alloys. Has anyone tried to fit to standard stage 1 v8 hubs;. If so any advice?

Hi Harry, There must be some form of adapter between the 'D' rod and the switch; presumably similar to the one used on a Disco 1, it has a metal adapter about 15mm long? (which doesn't fit my Landy rod, which is too small)? I would have expected to find any adapter with the rod... however no such lu...

Many thanks Harrypotter, once I had a better idea what I was looking for I found the spindle in a 'safe place' with all the other stuff I've been looking for!:D
no more using a screw driver to turn the ignition.

I have recently rebuilt the engine and upon replacing the distributor the angle of the rotor arms is out by 90 degrees from where it should be at TDC.
