Rear Propshaft

Hi folks, Sorry, don't have a parts book. Can anybody tell me the part no. for the rear propshaft? (or whether a standard S3 shaft will fit? Suspect not.) Or other ideas of where I can get hold of a decent one? Google doesn't seem to be much help! The rear (axle end) UJ is so worn it has about 1/4 i...

Job done! Thanks very much. Thought that might be the case, just didn't want to shell out for a replacement and then find it didn't fit! Another step closer to being back on the road!

Cheers,
Nick :D

Clutch master cylinder - same as standard Series 3?

Hi folks, hoping this is going to be an easy one - I need to replace the clutch master cylinder on my Stage 1 - (1980, RHD) and I haven't been able to find a separate listing for a Stage 1-specific master cylinder - I have found ones that say "All Series 3 + Defender"?! - surely such a wid...

Rubber foglight buffer

Hi folks, Does anyone know where I can get the small rubber buffer mounted just above the rear foglight on the later models? It's a small rectangular buffer the same width and depth as the foglight, and about an inch thick, with two threads which pass through the rear panel and bolt from the rear si...

Cooling system layout

As I have to get the beast running in time for a function in a couple of months' time, and have not had the time to sort out the EFI wiring, (engine came out of an 88 Rangie 3.5 efi), I have decided to stick the inlet manifold with the carbs off my old engine onto it as a temporary fix to get the th...

Getting it to run!

Hi,

Everything is installed and plumbed now - 3.5 EFi engine out of a 1988 Rangie with flapper system and external amp distributor. I can't get the thing to run - if I try to start it, only one cylinder is firing as the starter turns it over. I have petrol and sparks - any ideas?

Cheers,
Nick :-)

Ignition Coil

Hi, I have recently installed the engine out of a 1988 Range Rover 3.5 EFi in my stage one - including the electronic distributor with the integrated amplifer. I seem to have a very weak spark - I retained the original stage one points ignition coil - do I need to upgrade to a coil specifically inte...

Fuel line

Having dropped a Range Rover EFi engine into the stage one, I am now scratching my head a little as to how to hook up the fuel line - one of the connections on the new fuel pump is much larger in diameter than the fuel line, and where the fuel line fixes onto the injection rail, the engine has a thr...

The middle one looks most similar...

I had a look at the wiring on the inner wing of the beast last night, it has three wires going to the distributor, red, blue and black. just with a different connector but as i said these come from the lumenition box!.

Cheers,

Nick :-)

Distributor wiring

The R-R engine and 4 speed autobox are now in my stage 1 (the bolts lined up perfectly, by the way, using the range rover offside gearbox mount!). Only problem I have now is that I am not sure how to wire up the distributor. The engine that I have is a 1988 EFi ('flapper') set up. The distributor on...

Primsil,

If you can get one back, what would be your price delivered to the UK?

Best regards,

Oil Cooler Grille

Hi folks, Does anyone know where I can get hold of an oil cooler grille for a stage one -it's the small grille that sits in the recess under the main radiator grille on the front panel? I have seen them in photos of the military vehicles in NZ, is there anywhere I get one from in the UK? Regards, Ni...
