Having dealt with multiple cars from storage in the past few months, skipping the fuel tank altogether can be well worth while. Find a fuel tank from a lawn mower etc. and hang from the bonnet with ...

Re: Getting it Running

I assume you mean it doesn't run, therefore fuel and spark as with anything. Does it turn over, is the fuel pump ticking, is there fresh petrol in the tank... Yes map1275, it doesn’t run, I haven’t attempted turn over yet. I was going to clean fuel tank, change oil and filters first before attempti...

This being the first carby vehicle I have owned where do I start with getting it going? What’s the main things I should check and make sure are there? And even the little things ...

Gidday all, I am Warwick I’m new to the forum, I’m currently in Toowoomba, Queensland Australia and I own a 2010 TDV6 Discovery 4 that’s the family car but the fun sits in the garage with all its rust holes. It’s a 1980 2 door 109” stage 1 with original engine and chassis. It needs a lot of TLC and...

Re: Restoration

This is amazing, and I absolutely love the detail you have gone into for the novices like myself! I have currently taking ownership of a 1983 stage 1 with the V8, the bulkhead has a fair few rust spots and I was debating just replacing it but after seeing the effort and the after shots of yours, you...
