Stage 1 V8

I’ve just fitted one of these control valves.i can’t seem to get the heater to run cool.probably something I’ve done wrong . Is the heat supposed to be off when the lever is closed to the body of the valve?

Checked the wiring last night. I don’t think the sender and gauge are compatible. The sender is giving the gauge an earth so when a live feed is put to the gauge it just goes to max.Tried a feed from the voltage stabiliser and it’s the same.checked the gauge with resistance and it works. I’m thinkin...

Thanks for the reply. I bought a smiths one and fitted it tonight. The gauge just goes to the max so guess I’ll have to look at the wiring

I took the needles out and they are B1EW as you said.

The tag numbers were 3947L and 3947R.i could have misheard him. I’ll ring them and check. Thanks for the help

Thanks for that. It gets a bit complicated!no mention of The B1eu needles I was told I needed. I gave him the numbers on the brass tags and that’s what he came up with. Hopefully they’ll be ok

Can anyone tell me the needle part number on a stromberg cd175?the mixture adjustment is done through the top rather than the bottom. I’ve looked for rebuild kits and can only find them for a stag?

Yes and it’s rusty quite close to the where the leaf springs mount on so need to fix that
