If I follow you well you didn't localize the leak ? I thought you were speaking of the rear crankshaft seal, which is in my opinion the only one that can have such an issue but not so quickly ! Losing all the oil so quickly and spraying the all engine bay let me think the trouble is at the front end...

If the timing chain was not removed, then you should verify you really aligned the distributor rotor with the N°1 piston contact on the distributor cap at TDC . Keep in mind that the crankshaft makes two turns from one TDC to the next TDC so you have to check the valve rockers positions to know if y...
