Stage 1 V8

Hi Guys, I am about to purchase a Series 3 Stage 1 V8 109 Ex- NZ army Land Rover from a friend of mine. I was wondering. What are the key places and things to check around the vehicle to ensure it isn't going to need massive amounts of work. ie common rust locations etc. Any help would be appreciate...
