Re: Mystery Engine Block Number.

Thanks Mark, I had a local 4x4 mechanic work on my truck. He really likes to learn different odd trucks. He is great with electrical, this was the main reason I went to him. I still have not a clue yet, where it is leaking from. I do some mechanical work, but engine rebuild and electrical is above m...

Re: Potential Stage 1 Purchase - Atlanta, GA USA

Funny, I did send a message to that Seller, that he should "NOT" label that series 3 as a defender on Ebay.... LHD, Stage 1, V8.... Welcome to the Money pit, and the waiting game. Because you will need to order parts from England, LHD is more rare, and you will wait for weeks getting the p...

Mystery Engine Block Number.

Hello All..... I am having a Horrible weekend. Drove three hours, one way, in my Stage1,V8, only to blow a gasket somewhere.... All oil lost. This was a rebuilt engine, just a year ago. I do have History that, this engine was not the original. Back on the rebuild, I should have figured out that my e...

Re: Stump the Cump! Electrical problems...

Thanks Disco2hse, I wanted original parts, a two speed push knob I could get anywhere. I did see many that were way to big to fit. Sorry I did not mention that. I will look into the volt stabilizer. Hopefully it should do the trick. I am planning to take it to an Auto Electrician. Electrical trouble...

Re: Stump the Chump! Electrical problems...

Hello all, Sorry I have been extremely busy with work. Yet my elcectrical problems remain. This is correct, three differnet flasher units. I bought LED bulbs for all turn signals, brake and front service lights. Twice as bright!!! I bought, specifically an LED flasher. It will (supposedly) flash reg...

Different versions of Fairey Overdrives?

Hello all, I have been looking for a Fairey Overdrive, or another version. I read many websites, stating NOT for V8 models. I see many that state it is a Series II or III model. My truck once had an overdrive, the previous owner took it out. Lucky me the pre-drilled holes are still there. I did find...

Stump the Cump! Electrical problems...

Hello All. OK, so I have had my V8 for almost a year. It had three previous owners.... I got it. It runs great. BUT in typical English Fashion the electrical issue has arrived. I am no Automotive Electrician. First my High beams didn't work , than the wind shield wipers do not work... Plus other ite...

Re: Rear Lens puzzle?

Thanks Firemanshort, Map1275 told me the rear stop lights are from Series II, yet they are bigger? Well with all that in mind, I should buy all new light fixtures rather than just lens replacements. My LEDs will be in this week. Can not wait to hook them up and see the difference. I should not need ...

Re: Gear boots and knobs

As posted before, LR Series has my phone number on speed dial. I use them all the time. I should just send my paycheck directly to them. They seem to have 90% of everything I am looking for, and the cheapest. First download the Series III part Catalog. It will help you find the actual part numbers. ...

Rear Lens puzzle?

Hello All, I just recently purchased MOD LED lights for my Stage III. These fit inside the existing lens and holder. Which is what I wanted, the same original look, just brighter lighting. My Stage III was a special order. The front lens are regular standard size, as with the rear indicator lens. Th...

Stage III V8 drawing

Hello all, I was researching for a good drawing for a project. Only thing close was the old post card / baseball card image of the five door in red. I re-drew it for three door and repainted it in photoshop. Here are the two images. Free for all. If you are talented with photoshop, you can recolor i...
