Re: Restoration
Hi Cliff. Nice write up on your axle build. To help with your swivel CV Clearance. The problem you have highlighted is due to 2 reasons .. The first LR had this problem with all Stage ones. Early Range Rover and early 110... which they later addressed by changing the outer diameter of the CV joint t...

We made them from 300m Alloy and heat treated them to add strength and still maintain the flexibility needed in drive shafts. Sold as a set so one LH and one RH shaft to suit the original 10 spline diffs. https://www.desig...

David,
I have a Bracket and think a clip at work.
Will have a look today when I am in.
If you drop me a email info@designdevelopmenteng.co.uk
Could also make a batch as there is a few people missing this part.

Re: Bonnet locks
Unfortunatly the locks inside these are not the same as the land rover version and we have manufactured them in a different way to make them more robust so they dont fail due to water ingress. They are not a land rover barrel. All the locks are keyed to differ and supplied with 2 keys. Hope this helps

Bonnet locks
We have just finished manufacturing the Stage One bonnet locks. A part which has been obsolete for years. Ours are made from stainless steel which has been polished to give the same appearance of the original chrome plating but being stainless makes them much more durable. https://www.designdevelopm...

Re: Heater control valve... again
Hi All,
Been a long time coming but the heater control valves are done

Turned out much better then I could have hoped and really pushed my machining limits on the housing

Re: Remanufacture of classic parts
Hi All. A bit of a update to this thread. I have just produced the first swivel housing kit. The modifications to a standard series swivel is not as straight forward as people believe as it is not just a matter of machining the internals for clearance on the CV but we also had to change the top / bo...
