Re: Speedometer

Thanks for your reply. This webpage lists 4 spindles of different colours, number of teeth, and part numbers for the 90/110 on different tyres: https://www.land-rover-blog.co.uk/how-to-replace-the-speedo-drive-gear-on-a-land-rover/ The Stage One spindle (FRC2284) is pictured here: https://www.ebay.c...

Re: Speedometer

Further to my previous post and map's reply, the 110 Parts Catalogue (up to Aug '86) gives only one part number (FRC3162) for the worm gear for the V8 - 4 SPEED - GEARBOX (LT95) and one part number for its associated spindle (FRC3310) The Stage One's LT95's spindle is part number FRC2284. Both have ...

Re: Speedometer

My question followed on from Glen saying, "... if someone fits a complete Range Rover gearbox the speedo will underread by about 32%." Both my Stage Ones have replacement 110 LT95 gearboxes fitted by previous owners. The green one's serial number is 17C00198A. It was almost certainly new w...

Re: Speedometer

What about if a complete LT95 gearbox from a 110 is fitted to a Stage One?

Re: Restoration

I provided these part numbers on here last year:

Seems like a lot of trouble and expense to go to for the privilege of blowing non-heated air into the vehicle when you can just open the bulkhead flaps instead.

Re: Bumper wanted

D rings were a pretty common standard fitting on new Stage Ones. I've a number of Rover press photos from the time that show clearly if you blow them up that the rings were fitted as mine are described above. Here's the best such press photo I could find quickly online: https://www.autocar.co.uk/sit...

Re: Bumper wanted

The useless starter handle hole was nevertheless still present as standard on the Stage 1 bumper in spite of being completely unnecessary because it didn't line up with the higher starter dog - probably something to do with using the same standard stock of basic bumper before different brackets were...

Re: Bumper wanted

Sorry - I now realise that pic and my post may be a bit confusing - although not a genuine Stage 1 bumper in that pic, it is fitted with the brackets - hence two sets of bolts in the pic - a PO painted the galv brackets black to match their horrid bumper. It was a 90/110 bumper (not an ordinary Seri...

Re: Bumper wanted

The only brackets I have are fitted to my vehicles. Can't find any more now, and I am looking for some as I have more genuine Stage 1 bumpers. Should be easy enough to make if you have the necessary skills and equipment, which I don't. I have suggested it to v8alligator on here (Design & Develop...
