'Stage 2' refers to the development of the (coil-sprung) 90 and 110 I've never heard them called that before, just 110 or 90 (and erroneously, Defender!). Don't know whether this has anything to do with it but, according to the CLR article, it was originally built LHD and converted to RHD in 1995.
