This Stage 1, as mentioned elsewhere, started life as a hi-cap pick-up and had the body of a Series III station wagon grafted on. The clues to its origins are subtle: the spare wheel mount on the bonnet didn't feature on station wagons in the UK, and it is just possible to make out the door locks which are standard Series III rather than the Stage 1 type with the remote lock.
