Can anybody confirm how the military spec switch panel attaches to the bulkhead?
The standard Stage1 has a central switch panel which consists of two side panels and a central trim. I want to insert a flat panel between the side panels much like the military spec ones thus spreading apart the existing side panels. If I spread the side panels effectively the screw holes line up with thin air on the vent panel (where the air vents are). Obviously I can make up a bracket to suit but I’m interested to know how Land Rover intended this.
Thanks… _________________ 1983 Stage 1 V8 Hardtop (Mrs Bingham) |

On mine there are four screws (two on each side). That's all. No other brackets at the top or bottom. _________________ Alan

Which Military panel?
The basic addition to Ser III doesn't attach to the bulkhead in any way. It mounts to the vent panel under the top dash rail.
The standard UK Military panel deletes the RH vent hole, the Australian version doesn't. In any case these all require 1/16 holes to be drilled in the vent panel. |
